A. N. "Bill" Mahaffey



Arden - A. N. "Bill" Mahaffey, 76, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Park Ridge Hospital.

A native of Beckley, WV, he was the son of the late Ambrose Felix Mahaffey and Eliza Raines Mahaffey and was the husband of the late Sarah H. Mahaffey.

Mr. Mahaffey was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He retired from Mission Hospital after twenty years of service, was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church, and he volunteered at MANNA Food Bank for ten years.

Surviving are his daughter, Kathryn Mahaffey of Arden; son, Mark Mahaffey of Arden; best friends, Kevin Parker of Arden, and Thomas Northrup of Hendersonville.

The graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday at Turkey Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Owen officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM Saturday at Moore Funeral Home, Brevard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MANNA Food Bank, 627 Swannanoa River Rd., Asheville, NC 28805.
