Alda Forester

Alda V. Forester, 94, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022. A native of Madison County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Bessie Griffin Slagle. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Alvin Slagle and her daughter-in-law, Gail Forester.

Alda loved to work and stayed busy, both mind and body, for as long as she could. She loved to work so she would have something to give, primarily to her family, which she loved dearly. She worked for 20 years at Ecusta before taking several different jobs, mostly in retail, but also as a seamstress.

Her greatest joy was providing for her family.

Her loving survivors include her children: Ron Forester, Lynn Forester (Mary) and Kay Tilson (Steve); her grandchildren: Amanda, Garrick, Emily, Hannah, and Maria; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest with Rev. Dick Westbrook officiating.
