Allen Cison

Allen Ray Cison, 63, of Brevard, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. A native of Brevard, he was the son of the late Jay E Cison and the late Jessie Gravely Mann. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Auburn "Jeepie" Cison and his best friend, Harry "Fuzz" Crane.
Allen was a U.S. Army Veteran and served at Ft. Jackson and in Herminie, Pennsylvania at the Nike Missile site before returning to Brevard and working in construction. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Forks of the River Coon Hunters and Sportsman's Club.
His loving survivors include his wife of 21 years, Wilma G. Cison; his daughters: Mandy Strickland and husband Glenn of Little River, Tina Bayne and husband Coke of Lake Toxaway, Heather Barton and husband Dwayne of Etowah, and Margaret Fisher of Brevard and grandchildren Jonathan Strickland, Casey Strickland, Nichole Bayne, Shelby Barton, Taylor Barton, Colin Barton and Emma Barton.
Funeral Services for Allen Cison will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Gary McCarter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the funeral home.
Pall bearers will be Glenn Strickland, Dwayne Barton, Jonathan Strickland, Randy Crane, Mike Petit and Greg McCall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the building fund of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, P.O. Box 322, Rosman, NC 28772.
