Alma Mccall

Alma Hoxit McCall, 86, of Pisgah Forest, NC passed away on February 16, 2019. She was a daughter of the late Jessie and Bessie Dills Hoxit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons; Anthony James McCall and Michael Jimmy McCall, and full sister; Betty Hoxit, one full brother; Leeward Hoxit, two half-brothers; Lowell Massingale and Vondell Massingale, three half-sisters; Karen M. Perry, Edith Moon and Anna Faye Luker. She was member of Boylston Baptist Church.

Alma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being a homemaker and a mother to her community. She was a hard working woman and found great joy in growing her vegetable and flower gardens, cooking for any and all that were hungry.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James E. McCall, four sons; Audie and Janet McCall of Pisgah Forest, NC, Joey and Angie McCall of Pisgah Forest, NC, David and Christy McCall of Penrose, NC and Clark McCall of Pisgah Forest, NC, one daughter-in-law, Allison Wilkie McCall, 3 half-brothers; Berlen and Berles Hoxit and Spurgeon Massingale, Jr., 9 half-sisters; Dorothy Snyder, Leola Durham, Lilly Tucker, Leona Luker, Gladys Luker, Brenda Luker, Louise Gravely, Willa Mae McCall and Ruby Fisher, grandchildren; Lacee McCall, Tyler McCall and partner Eric Campbell, Matthew McCall, Kyle and wife Ashley McCall, Chris McCall, Rebecca and husband A.J. Sizemore, Joseph Ledford and John Ledford and Haley McCall, one great grandson; Silas Sizemore and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Alma McCall will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Boylston Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Burress officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the church.
