Amy Smith Penland, 75, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Brian Center.



She was born in Kinston, NC to the late William Franklin and Dollie Mae Crisp Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Buster Ralph Penland and one granddaughter.



She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church.



Mrs. Penland is survived by her son, Ralph Keith Penland and wife Michelle of California; her brother, Billy Smith of Georgia, three grandchildren; Keith, Christopher and Haley Pendland, her niece, Wendy Montgomery of Georgia.



A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday,  Dec. 1, 2012, at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, with Rev. Karen Easter officiating.  Graveside services will take place prior to the service at 11:45 AM at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
