Audrey Siniard

The family of Audrey Auvil Siniard wishes to share with you its extreme gratitude for her well-lived life and all the love, care, wisdom and compassion she gave to us and others every single day. She was born on December 27, 1929 and left us on November 15, 2017.
Audrey was the wife of Hale "Guis" Siniard for the past 70 years; the mother of Ray, Linda, Claudia and David; the mother-in-law of Marie Holliday-Siniard, Larry Nelson, Mike Bradley and Debbie Pressley Siniard; the grandmother of Thomas & Cristy, Aaron & Amanda, Josh & Caren, Jeremy & Charmaine, April, Isaac & Lucy, Addison & Jeff, Jess, Brooke and Cody; and the great-grandmother of Nyx, Lille, Matt, Jack, Nelson, James, Camden, Kylie, Jackson, Yates, Hannon and Number Twelve on the way.
Audrey was the daughter of William Dent and Clara Addison Auvil, and was born in Middletown, Ohio. She moved to Transylvania County as a child with her parents, her sister, Katherine Bayne, her brother, Carl Auvil, and her sister Mary Lou Cordano. She was blessed with wonderful brothers and sisters - in-law as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Audrey was a lover of music. She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church choir, a founding member of the Calico Chorus, and enjoyed singing with the Transylvania Choral Society many times. She was a "whistling woman," whistling as she went about her daily routines, and passed that down to some of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Audrey served her church over the years in many capacities, loved her church family, volunteered for many years at Sharing House, was a regular blood donor to the Red Cross, a member of the Women's Democratic Party, and was a loving neighbor and friend to all.
The family wishes to give thanks to all those at The Oaks of Brevard who participated in her care over the last four months, as well as to Care Partners Hospice. Their care and compassion for her whole family was a true blessing.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Timothy United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 18th, with the family receiving friends there afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Timothy United Methodist Church, The Sharing House or the American Red Cross.
