Barbara Hudgins

Barbara Jean Kendrick Hudgins
August 15, 1929 - November 27, 2014

Born August 15, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Ruby Turner and David Hoyle Kendrick. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life for 66 years, Charles Hudgins, and her four brothers, Henry, O'Neal, Dan, and Jack.

She leaves behind a family that she cherished including her only daughter, Glenda Hudgins Lawson, and husband Bob (Brevard, NC), her only son, Joe (Brevard, NC), her grandchildren, Ron and Kristie Buell (Pisgah Forest, NC), Greg and Sherri Buell (Buford, GA), Christa and Bobby Downing (Lilburn, GA), Shay Hudgins (Orlando, FL), Bobby Lawson, Jr.(Buford, GA), Matt and Enka Lawson (Dacula, GA), as well as thirteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church for over 50 years, she loved to sing, she loved to be an active member in her community and mostly she lived to serve the Lord. She was a member of the WMU (Womens' Mission Union), BYB (Best Years Bunch), a lifetime member of the choir and volunteered many hours for other various programs. She and her husband took pride in filling their home with a strong sense of family and Christian values.

Services will be held 2:00 PM, November 29, 2014 at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church with gravesides services following at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
