Bessie Lorraine Fields



Brevard - Bessie Lorraine Fields, 93, passed away after a long illness, August 22, 2012.  A long term resident of College Walk in Brevard, she was married to Lawrence Vincent Fields who passed away 5 years ago in July 2007.



She was an active member of the Carr's Hill Baptist Church prior to her illness, where she taught Sunday school classes for a number of years, in addition to participating in Bible Study groups and occasionally playing the organ. In addition to her church related actives, she enjoyed Oil Painting, and was an avid golfer. Prior to moving into the Brevard area, she and her husband lived in Florida, following their retirement after raising their family in Southeastern Michigan.



She is survived by her three sons, Michael and wife Janene of Higgins Lake, Michigan; Terry and wife Barbara of Alexander, North Carolina and Donald and wife Amy of Weaverville, North Carolina. Mrs. Fields has two surviving sisters; Pat Thomas of Franklin, North Carolina and Barbara Masters of Caldwell, Texas. She had a total of 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.



A memorial service will be held at a later date.
