Bethany Rene Cobb
Brevard-Bethany Rene Cobb, 11, child of the One True King and on loan to us from our Savior is now with her Father in Heaven who came to take her home at 3:15PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2014. She went peacefully in the arms of Jesus with many loved ones around her. While we are in much pain over the fact that we will miss our sweet girl, we are also at perfect peace knowing that she is with the ONE who loves her like no other, experiencing JOY like we will not know fully until we too arrive at our eternal home as children of GOD!
She was born May 23, 2002 in Houston, Texas. She attended Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Her mega watt smile lit up a room when she entered. Her quick wit and fun loving performances kept everyone entertained. She was known for her sense of style, loving anything sparkly, shiny or sequenced. One of her favorite things she enjoyed was having a tea party for any occasion. Bethany loved everyone unconditionally, never questioning WHY, accepting life and adversity with Grace.
Bethany was a 6th grade student at Rosman Middle School. She was a member of Jr. Beta Club, Battle of the Books, 6th grade Band where she played trombone, Transylvania Youth Strings program since she was in the 4th grade, playing the violin, 6th grade chorus and she played the ukulele. By invitation she went to DARE camp. She always made the Honor Roll in school and received recognition for her character and citizenship. Bethany was also a peer mediator in her school.
She is survived by her parents; Steve and Kelly Cobb, three sisters; Rachel, Anna and Cassidy, maternal grandparents; Jim and Carolyn Cowart of Port Vincent, LA, paternal grandparents; Rev. Charles and Barbara Cobb, Jr. of Brevard, NC, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
