Betty Ann Fender Duncan, 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Elizabeth House.



She was born in Burnsville, NC to the late Clyde and Myrtle Barnes Fender.



Betty graduated from Bald Creek High School in Burnsville and Blanton's Business College in Asheville. She retired from Glen Raven Mills after many years of service. She was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church.



She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Duncan; a daughter, Denita Duncan Moore and Husband David of Brevard; a brother J. B. Fender and Wife Betty Jean of Burnsville; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Mary and Johnathan Moore.



A Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Raymond Whitfield and Ricky Ray officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
