Billy Hensley

Billy Kenneth "Ken" Hensley, 76, of Brevard, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Tore's Home in Brevard after completing a long and courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. A native of Yancey County, NC, he had lived in Transylvania County since the age of 5. He was the son of the late Warren and Robbie Elliott Hensley.
His courage has inspired many and he will always be remembered by family and friends. He retired from Ecusta Film Division in 1985.
Ken's loving survivors include his wife Judy Hutchins Hensley; daughter Salena Diedrich and partner Phil Israel; his brother Jimmy Ross Hensley and wife Melanie; grandson Kenny Diedrich and wife Samantha; nephews Mike, Mark and David and aunts Erma Barnett and Betty Brown.
At his request there will be no public services. There will be a celebration of his life for his family members at a later date.
