Lake Toxaway -Bonita McKinney McCall went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 6, 2008 at Transylvania Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.

A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Allen McKinney and Virgie Owen McKinney. She is also preceded in death by her twin sister, Oleta and sisters, Nell, Mickey and Ruth, and two brothers, Bud and Richard.

Survivors include her husband, James "Bert" McCall, one son, Jim McCall and Sheila of Brevard, two daughters, Deborah and Rev. Stanley Adcock of Saluda and Faye and Rodney Pressley of Fletcher, one brother, Bill McKinney, three sisters, Martha Galloway, Grace McNeely, and Brenda Berkshire all of Lake Toxaway, 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She loved her family and friends dearly. She was a faithful wife, precious mother, wonderful sister, lifelong friend and the best Nanny ever. Her home going was peaceful and she is now rejoicing with her family and friends in heaven. Some golden daybreak we will see her again.

A funeral service will be held at Lake Toxaway Baptist Church on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be private.
