Bonnie Galloway Tinsley

Brevard - Bonnie Galloway Tinsley, 86, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Tore's Home.
A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Alvoid Galloway and Mellisa McCall Galloway. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Tinsley, Jr., who died in 2009 and a sister Ruby Fanning.

Mrs. Tinsley was a member of the Brevard Wesleyan Church where she served as a past Sunday School teacher, church board member, secretary to the board and church historian. She graduated from Brevard High School and was employed at Ecusta in the finishing department. In her spare time she worked as a seamstress.

She was passionate about spending time with her family and her friends at church. She also enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.

Surviving are her two sons, Mike Tinsley and wife Sheila of Fair Play, SC, and John Tinsley and wife Janet of Pisgah Forest, NC, two brothers, Hershel Galloway and wife Margo of Brevard, NC, Gayden Galloway and wife Jean of Brevard, NC, six grandchildren, Kym Arduini and husband Peter of Deerfield, IL, Kevin Tinsley of Fair Play, SC, Chris Tinsley and wife Kathryn of Charlotte, NC, Josh Tinsley and wife Meredith of Brevard, NC, Jonathan Tinsley and wife Selene of Lebanon, TN, and Jennifer Woodring and husband, Tyrel of Seneca, SC; eight great grandchildren, Allie, Joseph, Isabella, Hunter, Kaeli, Sophie, Clay, and Chase.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Brevard Wesleyan Church with the Revs. Dave Blackburn, Hank Moffitt, and Morris Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 PM Friday at the church.
