Brenda Allen

Brenda Dunn Allen, 72, of Lake Toxaway, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019. A native of Asheville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Gladys Barnes Dunn. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Jean Chamberlain and her brother, Teddy Dunn.

Having worked for the Lake Toxaway Fire Department for 30 years, she loved her family and her community. Always more of a giver than a taker, she loved animals and had rescued many different dogs and cats. She was also Vice-President of the Quebec Community Center, where she was also able to serve her community.

Her loving survivors include her husband of 31 years, Duane Allen; her son Paul Ramsey (Penny) of Candler, NC; grandchildren Kevin Chamberlain (Heather) and Ben Powell (Naomi); great-grandchildren Camden and Colten Chamberlain; and her sisters Linda Cantrell of Hendersonville, Pam Harris of Florida and Sandy Maynard of Texas.

Funeral Services for Brenda Allen will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2019 in the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations with Rev. Tommy Mullis and Rev. David Perry officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm, one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mack McCall Cemetery.
