Carl L. "Tincy" Dixon



Brevard, NC - Carl L. "Tincy" Dixon, 61, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at his residence after being on dialysis for 15 years.

He owned and operated Dixon Carpet Sales in Brevard for 25 years and was know as the Pit-Stop BBQ man. He was a member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church.

Mr. Dixon was a son of the late William H. Dixon and is survived by his mother: Jean Hardin Dixon of Brevard, NC, two daughters: Christy Voso and husband, Rick of Hendersonville, NC and Carleen Hanscom and husband, Gordon of Seattle, WA., one sister: Catherine Dixon of Missoula, Montana and one granddaughter: Charlie Voso.

A memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Friday, September 26, 2008, at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church with the Rev. Malcolm Lance officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
