Carl Miller

Carl Miller, 93, of Brevard, Passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016. A native of Brevard, he was the son of the late George Larkin and Ida Reid Miller. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. Miller; brothers Shirl Miller and Charlie Miller; sisters Louise McKinney, Lucy Hubbard and Annie McDowell; and children Carl Vernon Miller, Eugene Ollie Miller and Karen Maxine Barton.
Mr. Miller was a WWII veteran, having served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his children Lawrence Miller and wife Jannette of Cleveland, SC, George Miller and wife Diane of Dacusville, SC, Shirley Reece of Pisgah Forest, James Miller and wife Sandra of Penrose, and Wayne Miller of Brevard; special friend and caregiver, Debbie Miller; sisters Elizabeth Hamilton and Myrtle Gordon, both of Little River; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Carl Miller will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations with Rev. Butch Skerritt officiating. Interment will follow at Dunn's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service.
