Carlton Barker

Carlton Lenwood Barker,74, of Brevard and formerly of Warner Robins and Macon, passed away on May 22, 2015 at the Brian Center in Brevard, North Carolina. He was the son of the late C. W. and Bertha Barker, pioneer residents of Warner Robins.
He was a graduate of Warner Robins High School. After graduation he served in the Navy for 4 years aboard the USS Roosevelt. He was associated with the family business, Barker Furniture, for several years. Carlton was best known in middle Georgia as the owner of 'Flaming Sally's Saloon'. a fixture in Macon, Ga. for several years. He spent the next 25 years associated with his oldest brother, Ed Barker, in the furniture design business in Highlands, N C. (Furniture South)

He is survived by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Ed Barker (Janet) of Clayton, Ga., Alvin Barker (Ellen) of Clermont, Fl., Barbara Barker, Atlanta,Ga.Marshall Barker Atlanta,Ga. and Jerry Barker, (Gayle) of Byron, Ga. A memorial service for Carlton is planned on May 28, 2015 at Burbee-Scott Memorial Chapel, Warner Robins, Ga. .
