Carol Aiken

Carol Deane Aiken, 85, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022. Born in Haywood County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Conward and Hazel Miller McClure. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel Talley.

Deane was an amazing woman. She was caring, kind, land loving, but also she could as stubborn as a mule. She loved animals, all dogs were welcome; from Pekingese to Sheepdogs, most recently a teacup poodle named Allie, who will miss her enormously.

In addition to the canine welcome mat, our friends were always welcome; her country cooking was awesome! Cornbread was always "McClure Brown" and her tomato juice was legendary.

Her loving survivors include her children: Sam Cudd (Debbie), Debbie Queen (Terry) and Vic Cudd (Lisa); her granddaughter, Sarah Cudd; and her sister, Patsy Paxton.

The family would like to thank Susan Morris for being Mom's friend over the years: she loved you so much. You were a friend to the end!

Mom, thanks for all the memories, love and guidance. We will miss you. Rest in peace.
