Carroll Shepheard

Carroll Lee Shepheard, 84, of Asheville, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Mission Hospital. A native of Yancey County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Donald and Alice Penland Shepherd. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Shepheard; his sister Madge Harris and brothers Earl Shepherd, J.B. Shepherd and Virgil Shepherd.

He loved to work in his yard, take long walks, sit in the sunshine when he was cold, and fish, but his great love was his family.

His loving survivors include his children, Linda Owen (Robert) and Kenneth Lee Shepherd; grandchildren Christopher Shepherd (Amber) and Travis Owen; great-grandchildren Owen Shepherd, Gwen Shepherd, Myna Shepherd and Journey Shepherd; and his brothers Frank Shepherd and Denver Shepherd.

Graveside services for Carroll Shepherd will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheville.
