Casey Ronald Bennett

 Casey Ronald Bennett, 87, of Rosman, passed away on January 19, 2024. A native of Lavonia, Georgia, he was the son of the late George and Obera Casey Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of almost 45 years, Virginia Galloway Bennett; and his sister, Ovalee Johnson.

      A United States Navy Veteran, he used the training he received to become an electrician with Ecusta, where he would go on to retire after 43 years of faithful service.

      An outdoorsman that enjoyed fish and hunting, he also enjoyed reading western novels. He had a knack of being able to fix most anything and was an outstanding handyman. His greatest enjoyment came from his family, spending time with them that included vacations to Myrtle Beach.

     His loving survivors include his sons, Duane Bennett and David Bennett (Amy); grandsons Aaron and Aiden Bennett; and his sister, Sandra Bennett.

     There will be a private family burial.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Four Seasons Elizabeth House, 581 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
