Charles Newton Kelley, passed away on January 1, 2014 at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard. He was born September 29, 1924 to the late Cornelious and Clara Sanders Kelley. He is preceded in death by his wife Jimmie Lou Kelley.

He is survived by one daughter, Deborah Morgan of Westminster, SC; two sons, Charles Scott Kelley and his wife Kathy of Brevard, and Bruce Kelley and his wife Amy of Pisgah Forest; six grandchildren, Chris Morgan, Jason Owen, Breanne Kelley, David Kelley and his wife Jennifer, Katie Kelley and Matthew Kelley; one great grandchild, Grayson Kelley and one sister, Ruth Corn of Lugoff, SC.

Charles retired from the Winn-Dixie Grocery Store after over 40 years as manager. As manager, he changed and affected the lives of numerous young people by offering them employment at the store. He was a man who lived the Christian Faith.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 4th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Brevard- Davidson River Presbyterian Church, 249 E. Main St. in Brevard. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery.
