Charles "Chuck" Jenkins Shuman, 51, of Brevard passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Transylvania Regional Hospital.
His is the son of Nell Hart Shuman and the late William Jenkins Shuman. He preceded in death by his brother Stacy Shuman.
He worked as a logistics coordinator at Borg Warner and was an assistant scoutmaster with Troop #703 and volunteered his time and energy with the Brevard High School Marching Band.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Fraser Shuman; two sons, Fraser and Joshua Shuman; two daughters, Morgan and Rhiannon Shuman; one brother, Rick Shuman of Savannah, GA; and one sister, Jan Sellar and her husband Ron of Bremerton, WA. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial celebration will be held 3:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Moore Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one prior to the service from 2:00 PM until the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Brevard High School Band Assoc., P.O. Box 1491, Brevard, NC 28712, or Boyscout Troup #703, P.O. Box 248, Brevard, NC 28712.
