Chris Kearns

Chris Raymond Kearns, 54, of Hillsboro, Oregon, formerly of Brevard, NC, passed away June 10, 2015.

He was a son of the late Charles R. Kearns and Roberta Mitchell Kearns.

Chris was a native and resident of Brevard, NC for many years. He graduated from Brevard High School in 1979 and from Brigham Young with a BA. He was an avid sports fan. Teams that he especially rooted for were the Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Rams football team and Brigham Young college football team. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and jazz music. During the years 2002-2005, Chris loved to run marathons.
One marathon that he was proud of completing was the Portland Oregon Marathon.

Since 2002, Chris worked in Washington County, Oregon in the Information Technology ServicesDepartment where he was an information technical analyst. He was instrumental in developing and creating data bases for many county departments with a focus on sheriff, jail and community corrections departments.

Chris is survived by two brothers: Thomas N. Kearns and wife, Joanne of Columbia, MD. and Stephen L. Kearns of Brevard, NC, two nieces: Janina Broek and Leanne Sorrentino, and one nephew: Andrew Kearns.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, June 19, 2015 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory, Pisgah Forest, NC.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Neely Road, Brevard, NC.
