Rosman - Claude Jimmy Holden, 69, died June 27, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville.

Mr. Holden was born on January 28, 1942 to the late Clyde W. and Essie Pearl Holden. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Holden.

Claude proudly served his country in the US Airforce in Japan.

He was a kind, loving individual and a self taught artist. He loved hunting, fishing, and nature. He was an excellent guitar player, singer, and story teller.

He is survived by his former wife, Faye Fletcher of Hendersonville; a brother, Elvin Holden and wife Helga of Australia; three sisters, Ruby Nell Revis Rigsby, Iva Jean Holden O'Shields, and Cherie Holden Galloway, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 7pm in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 5pm - 7pm prior to the service.
