Conard Wheatley

Conard Bill Wheatley, 81, of Brevard, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. A native of Wise, Virginia, he was the son of the late Samuel and Gaynelle Sanders Wheatley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Brenda J. Wheatley and his brother, Leroy G. Wheatley.

He retired from the US Navy after serving for 23 years. After retirement he loved riding his motorcycle and working automobiles and visiting flea markets. He enjoyed the great Western movies made by John Wayne and reading Louis L’Amour novels. But his greatest enjoyment was his family: his children and grandchildren.

His loving survivors include his two daughters, Mary Tremba (John) of Brevard, and Dawn Malone of Olympia Washington; 6grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his brother, Ricky Wheatley, of Wise, VA.

Services for Mr. Wheatley will be held in Virginia.
