Conrad Lee Ingram, 76, of Lake Toxaway, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019. A native of Forsyth County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Rufus Byron and Zelpha Whicker Ingram. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers, R.B. Ingram, Jr., Roy Ingram and Richard Ingram; son Michael Browder and grandsons Connor Ingram and Michael Browder, Jr.
A United States Air Force Veteran, he later became the President and CEO of Hudgens Company in Savannah, GA. He later served as an Operations Supervisor with Transylvania County and also served his community by driving a school bus for several years until his second retirement.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather,
He was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family. He loved his church and loved serving his church family.
His loving survivors include his wife of 37 years, Barbara LeGrand Ingram; children Conrad Ingram, Jr., (Cathi) of Dallas, GA, Steven Ingram (Kathy) of Soddy Daisy, TN, Cheryl Mouton (Coy) of Brevard, NC and Mark Browder (Stacy) of Farmington, NM; grandchildren: Caitlyn Ingram, Chase Ingram, Jonathan Ingram, Elizabeth McDowell (Clayton), Eric Drury (Rachel), Lisa Maas (Jonathan), Mark Browder, Jr., Matthew Browder, Jeffrey Browder and Morgan Browder; and several great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara
Workman of Welcome, NC and Jane McDermott of Grantsboro, NC.
Graveside Services for Conrad Ingram will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest with Philip Shumate and Larry Moss officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Care Partners Hospice, 1266 Asheville Highway, Brevard, NC 28712.
