Cynthia Parker

Cynthia Lynn Parker, 57, of Pisgah Forest, NC passed away on Saturday, September, 2, 2017 at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.

She is a daughter of Jean Cochran White and the late David Syd White. She was a member of Blantyre Baptist Church where she was a faithful and longtime youth and Bible School Director. She also enjoyed directing the Christmas plays for many years.

Cynthia graduated from Brevard High in 1978, and from CJ Harris in Sylva, NC with a Bachelor's degree in Radiology. She worked at Transylvania Regional Hospital and Pardee Hospital as a radiologist for a total of 16 years. She was a clinical teacher at AB Tech for five years where she taught radiology.
She loved animals of all kinds, especially horses. Camping and spending time being outdoors were favorite times for her. She also enjoyed singing in a ladies trio and they sang in many churches.

In addition to her mother, her loving survivors include her daughter; Mandi Maskell and husband Ryan of Pisgah Forest, her son; Matt Parker of Pisgah Forest and her sister; Donna White of Etowah, NC.

Funeral services for Cynthia Parker will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Blantyre Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Nelson and Rev. John Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Monday evening, September 4, 2017 at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations.
