D. Denslow

David Ross Denslow, 88, born December 24, 1929 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Lawrence Ernest and Florence Lillian Russell Denslow and passed away June 11, 2017 in Brevard, North Carolina.

Ross Denslow was preceded in death by his siblings Norman Denslow and Bertha Denslow Hamlin.

Ross earned his Bachelors of Divinity degree from Emory University and entered the ministry in 1958. He served a number of churches in central and south Florida for 40 years in the United Methodist Church of the Florida Annual Conference.

He is remembered by his family as a passionate and dedicated pastor, model railroader, wood carver, nature lover and handyman.

He is survived by his wife Beatrice Miller Denslow. They were married for 64 years and have 3 children: Melody Denslow Carlino, husband Michael Carlino, their 2 children Skylar James and Lucas Allen of Monticello, Wi. , David R. Denslow, wife Maria Canton, their 2 children Christina Denslow Townshend, husband Jake Townshend, their daughter Ella Shay of Melbourne, Fl and Maria's daughter Indy Castillo of Miami, Fl. Daniel E. Denslow and husband Stephen Spence of Hendersonville, NC.

He is also survived by his siblings Lawrence E. Denslow and Alice Cole of Lake Alfred, Fl. and James A. Denslow of Lake Mary, Fl.

An opportunity to visit with the family will be held at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations, 100 North Country Club Road, Brevard on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 5-7 PM. Graveside services will be held at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory at 11:30 am, Thursday, June 15, 2017 followed by a Celebration of Life at First United Methodist Church of Brevard at 1 PM with reception following. The Rev. Mike Holder and Rev. Lauren Sims-Salata will officiate.
