JOSEPH DANIEL FURR, 19, of Little River Community near Brevard, NC went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ Saturday, December 27, 2008. His death was accidental.



Daniel was born February 16, 1989 in Charlotte and he attended Weddington area schools from kindergarten through 10th grade. He moved with his family to the Brevard area in 2005 and graduated from Brevard High in 2007. He attended Blue Ridge Community College for his freshman year and had been accepted for transfer to Western Carolina University in January to begin his sophomore year. Daniel's many interests included baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, music, cooking, being with family and his many friends. His quick sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him. A select few knew about the tenderness and sensitively that Daniel hid from most of his acquaintances. He was a gift from God who is missed immeasurably by his family and friends.



Survivors include parents, Joseph and Sandra Furr of Little River, sister Heather with husband Heath Kinsland of Little River, nieces Hailey and Anna Kinsland, aunts Betty Stone, Jan Robertson, Elaine Parks, uncle Buddy Furr all of Charlotte, and 13 cousins.



A Celebration of Daniel's Life Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM

Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Brevard Community Church where he was a member. Family visitation with friends will follow. Pastor Todd Alewine will be ministering, along with friends and family who will be sharing their memories of Daniel. A private graveside service will be held earlier in the day.
