Daryl L. Wilson, 86, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at The Oaks.

A native of Burr Oak,KS, he was the son of the late Otto H. and Mary Mahaffey Wilson. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Navy as a pilot.

Mr. Wilson had served as a Lector and as a Lay Minister with the Catholic Church. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a past president of the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Ft. Myers, FL and was a founding member of the Secular Order of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph of Ft. Myers and Brevard.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria Meyer Wilson; son, Michael R. Wilson of Brevard; daughters, Barbara St. John and husband Thomas of Brevard, Teresa Williams and husband Philip, Claire McMasters and husband Knox, and Mary Williamsen and husband Scott all of Ft. Myers, FL; sisters, Patricia Wheeler of Tulsa, OK, and Dorcas Weltmer of Kansas; brother, Robert Wilson of Burr Oak, KS; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Carl Del Giudice officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Friday, November 14, 2008 at Moore Funeral Home.
