Delia R. Elliott



Pisgah Forest - Delia R. Elliott, 83, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 30, 2008.

A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Nettie Corn Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Elliott. She was also preceded in death by her brother A. J. Parker.

Mrs. Elliott worked a number of years for Brevard Manufacturing and later retired from Transylvania County Schools. She was a loving Momaw and avid gardener.

She is survived by two daughters, Ava Branegan of Snellville, GA and Lilly Smith and Husband Roger of Candler, NC; one son, Bo Elloitt of Pisgah Forest; four grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, six great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and one step great great grandchild.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, January 2, 2009 at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Owings and Ronald Brown officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 PM at the funeral home .
