Diane Owen

Diane Lyday Owen, 68, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Born in Asheville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Harley Dixon and Marjorie Nell Lyday.

Make her career as a nurse, Diane found her true calling in life by taking care of people both in hospital and homecare settings. She worked for Transylvania Regional Hospital for a time as well as UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She also worked as a corporate nurse for US Steel.

She also found time to take cooking classes as well as enjoy painting with watercolors.

Her family was greatest joy. She is survived by her husband Bobby Ray Owen; their children Mario Owen and Heather Vinaik (Sanjiv); grandchildren Ria Vinaik, Jackson Owen and Cecilia Owen; and also her brother, Ronald Lyday.
