Dorene Galloway LaCroix

Brevard - Dorene Galloway LaCroix, 77, of Brevard, NC died at her residence on June 22, 2011.

Dorene was a daughter of the late Joe and Bessie Galloway. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve E. LaCroix; a daughter, Pamela LaCroix; three brothers, Dawson, Elvin and Delbert Galloway, and one sister, Doris Galloway.

She served in the US Air Force and lived in Texas for many years until moving back to her home in North Carolina. She worked in banking for the majority of her career and after retirement she worked in her daughter's store "Cotn" in Brevard.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Coblentz and husband Andy of Lake Toxaway, NC and Stephanie LaCroix of Brevard, NC, two brothers; Joe Travis Galloway of Lake Toxaway, NC and Rex Galloway of Lake Toxaway, NC, three sisters, Marlene Johnson of Lake Toxaway, NC, Brenda Tomlo of Hendersonville, NC and Joretta Owen of Lake Toxaway, NC, two grandchildren, Adrienne Cison and Bronson Shepherd and numerous nieces and nephews.


A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at Lake Toxaway Baptist Church, Saturday, June 25, 2011 with Rev. Danny Byers, Rev. Kerry Purselle and Rev. Rex Galloway officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday evening, June 24, 2011 at Moore Funeral Home from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM.
