Doris Brittain

Doris Eileen (Shonkwiler) Brittain, 80, passed away on May 20, 2014 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Helen Shankwiler. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Wilburn Brittain and daughter Lucinda Mullinax.

She graduated high school in Ohio and was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Brevard.

She is survived by her step-children: Tommy Brittain and wife Rhonda, Bobby Brittain and wife Nancy, Billy Brittain and Wife Lisa, Susie Byers and husband John, and Linda Powell and husband Todd, all of Transylvania County; and special friends Betty and Jody Roberts.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
