Dorothy L. "Dot" McNeely

Lake Toxaway - Dorothy L. "Dot" McNeely, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 12, 2009 at her residence.
Born in Kenosha, WI, she grew up in Miami, FL and moved to Transylvania County in 1945. She was the daughter of the late Leslie G. and Ruby Tillitson Lease and was the wife of the late Walter W. McNeely, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Ridings.
Mrs. McNeely was a member of Lake Toxaway Baptist Church for over 60 years where she taught Sunday School, played the piano, and served as Choir Director. She was a member of the Gideons International, Brevard Camp Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Lewis McNeely and wife Cheryl of Sapphire, NC, Jean Martin and husband Paul of Pisgah Forest, Gail Wilson and husband Willie of Lake Toxaway, NC; grandchildren, Timothy and Charity McNeely, Hope Raxter and husband Jesse, Jeremy Wilson and wife Ashley, and Jamie Wilson.
The funeral service will be held at 4 PM Monday at Lake Toxaway Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny McLamb and Rick Plotts officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of the church. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Lake Toxaway Fire/ Rescue Department.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Sunday at Moore Funeral Home.
