Brevard - Dorothy Staton Pace



Dorothy Staton Pace, 97, died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Transylvania Regional Hospital, Brevard, N.C.



She was a daughter of the late Lyman and Maggie Pace Staton. She was predeceased by her husband Benjamin Brown Pace who died in 1996, two brothers; Scott and Clay Staton and one sister; Eva Staton Bishop.



She was a member of Enon Baptist Church and Brevard Book and Plate Club.  She was active in WMU countywide; she enjoyed home demonstration clubs and loved traveling having traveled world wide.



She is survived by a daughter; JoAnn Pace Bryson and husband Charles of

Brevard, NC, one son; Ronald Pace and wife Neila of McCaysville, GA, one sister; Charlotte Brockman of Fredricksburg, VA, four grandchildren; Allen Pace, Jr. and wife Jodi of Winston, Ga, Blayne Pace and wife Kelley of Dallas, GA, Joe Bryson and wife Marisa of Penrose, NC and Laura Morgan and husband Justin of Pflugerville, Tx., three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her special caregivers; Kelly Miller, Angela O'Shields and Penny Smith.



Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Madden officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
