Dorsie Baynard

Dorsie M."Dottie" Baynard, 78, of Mills River, North Carolina, passed away on April 6, 2016. A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Rosa Jones. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbren Baynard; her brothers Cecil Jones and Jim Jones, and sisters Eva Wooten, Lois Freeman and Maude Ledbetter.
A long-time member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Pisgah Forest, Dottie worked for several years at Bargain City and was also the long-time owner and operator of Dottie's Fashions in Brevard.
Survivors include her sisters: Ruth Hipps and husband R.C. of Hendersonville, NC, Flora Coren of Norfolk, VA, and Edith Metcalf and husband Larry of Mills River, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Dorsie "Dottie" Baynard will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00, one hour prior to the service.
