Dr. Marion Underhill

Marion L. Underhill, 97, of Brevard, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  A longtime resident of Connestee Falls, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Kollar Underhill of Newburgh, New York.

She was a graduate of State Teachers College, New Paltz, NY, Columbia University in New York, and the University of Delaware in 1978, having received her Doctor of Theology degree at that time.

After retirement from teaching high school English in 1988, Dr. Underhill retired to living in Connestee Falls and to tutoring in all Brevard local schools, including Brevard College and finally Schenck Job Corps.

Dr. Underhill has been a faithful parishioner at Sacred heart Catholic Church, having served for many years as Eucharist Minister.

A Memorial Mass for Dr. Underhill will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Shawn O'Neal officiating.  A reception will follow the mass in the fellowship hall.
