Edith Blythe

Edith Leatherwood Blythe, 70, of Pisgah Forest passed away on January 21, 2016 at Memorial mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Transylvania County,she was the daughter of the late Dave and Bonnie Curtis Leatherwood. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wade Blythe, brothers Dewey and Billy Leatherwood; sisters Georgie Leatherwood and Frances Parris and grandson Josh Blythe.

She is survived by her sister Dorrie Bailey; niece Dani Bailey and partner Morgan Tsacrios of Pisgah Forest; nephew Josh Bailey and wife Donna of Pisgah Forest; great-niece Chloe Tsacrios of Pisgah Forest; step-children Joe Blythe and fiancé Margaret Austin of Spartanburg, SC, Tom Blythe and wife Sheri of Brevard, Randal Blythe and wife Debbie of Pisgah Forest, and Lavondia Owen and husband Jimmie of Rosman; 7 grandchildren: Savannah and Hannah Blythe, Chantry Johnson and Natasha Johnson, Jarred and Jessica Owen and Christy Clark; and 5 great-grandchildren; her aunt, Emma Bradley, uncles Elmer Curtis and wife Glenna of Vienna, VA, Fred Curtis of Black Mountain and special friends Louis Gilbert of Little River and Wilma Thornhill of Brevard, and her beloved "baby dog" Jack.
