Edith Gillespie

Edith Jo Gillespie, 64, of Brevard, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Claude E. and Norma Brittain Gillespie, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Johnny Gillespie and Joe Gillespie; and sisters Reba King, Cornelia Amick and Zandra G. Lance.

She is survived by her sisters Mildred G. Taylor of Rosman and Victoria Trent, and brothers C.E. Gillespie and wife Mary of Brevard and Alvin Gillespie and wife Juanita of Asheville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Edith Jo Gillespie will be at 2PM on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Brevard with Rev. Mike Pressley and Rev. Johnny Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM. Interment will be at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery.
