Edith Ramsey Dobbins

Edith Ramsey Dobbins, of Sapphire, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2022, at her home with her husband by her side. She was 76 years old, but young at heart.

“Nanny” never asked for anything. She was the perfect homemaker and a loving and caring person, willing to help anyone she could. She loved babies and animals of all shapes and sizes. She was always there for her family with a warm smile and a hug.

Bon in Jackson County, she was a lifelong resident of Transylvania County. She loved traveling to other parts of the country and was always glad to get back home.

The world cannot afford to lose someone like Edith. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her. If you want to honor Edith, hug your dog, and take it for a walk. Edith loved that the most.

Edith is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jerry Dobbins; her children: son Rick Cash of Union Grove, NC, and two daughters, Ann Cash and Pam Searcy of Lake Toxaway; her sister Mary White of Lenoir, NC; her brother, Sam Ramsey of Rosman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
