Edna Marcum

Edna Marie Marcum, 66 of Pisgah Forest, formerly of Kermit, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. She was born on March 30, 1948 in Wayne County, West Virginia to the late Tom and Elizabeth Waller Messer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Richard Marcum, three sisters, Mary Justice, Vada Hodge and Dottie Messer and one brother, James Messer.
Edna is survived by her husband, Jerry Marcum of Kermit, West Virginia, two daughters, Penny Marcum of Kermit, West Virginia and Rhonda Marcum of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina and six grandchildren, Jessica Bradley, Paul Marcum III, Megan Williamson, Wayne Williamson, Ashley Marcum and Jacob Marcum. She is also survived by her siblings, Walter Riley Messer of Johnstown, Ohio, Flem Jenning Messer of Sunbury, Ohio, Martha Reece, Nettie Messer and Goldie Johnson all of Kermit, West Virginia along with a host of nieces.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Walnut Grove Church of Christ in Jennies Creek, West Virginia with Alex Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow at the Perry Point Cemetery on Jennies Creek. Friends may visit at the Church on Sunday and Monday after 4:00pm.
