Brevard - Eleanor R. King Dixon, 83, died on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at her residence.

She was born on April 18, 1927 to the late Frank Charles and Lillian Gibbs King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence F. Dixon, Jr. and her son, Lawrence Franklin (Dickie) Dixon.

She is survived by her daughter; Linda D. Smith of Brevard; a sister, Carolyn King Patton of Tucker, GA, one grandchild, Jessica Hicks of Travelers Rest, SC and one great grandchild, Madelyn Eleanor Hicks.

A graveside service will be held on at a later date at Gillespie Evergreen Cemetery in Brevard.
