Elizabeth Ball

Elizabeth G. Ball, 92, of Pisgah Forest passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe and Georgia Payne Swanzy. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard Ball;sisters Thelma Hall, Dorothy Ladner, Ann Kane and Grace Foxx; brothers William Swanzy, J.M. Swanzy and John Swanzy; and grandchildren Chad McCall, Glenda Kaye McCall, Vicky JoAnn McCall and carol lee McCall.
Growing up in the Gulf Coast area of Biloxi, MS., she never lost her love for the beach. She was a strong and independent woman who loved and nurtured animals, particularly cats.
Her loving survivors include her sister Catherine Griffin of Hendersonville; children James Ball and wife Doris of Pisgah Forest, Ann Morgan and husband Ralph of East Fork, Johnnie Ball of Pisgah Forest, and Deborah Spears of Rockingham, NC.; grandchildren Charles Richard McCall and wife Pam, Jon McCall and wife Dana, Jason Ball and wife Shannon, Jeremy Ball, Devan Hoxit and husband Matt, Brooke Whitmire, Michael Ball and wife Amy, Andrew Spears, Evan Spears, Will Spears, Cristy Warren, James Morgan and Michelle Morgan; 15 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mrs. Ball will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest with Rev. Tommy Crocker officiating.
