Elizabeth Jane Barnes

Elizabeth Jean Barnes, 90, of Franklin, NC, passed away on July 25, 2024. A native of Brevard, she was the daughter of the late George and Zula Mae Galloway McKinna. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Barnes, and her brother, George Donald McKinna.

A graduate of Rosman High School, she had also attended Cathey’s Creek Baptist Church.

Her loving survivors include her son, Tommy Barnes of Bryson City, NC, grandchildren: Stacey, Cathy and Regina Morgan; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and her sisters, Ollie Lewis, Anne Edwards and Ruth McCoy.

There will be a private graveside service.
