Ella Mae Franks

Sapphire - Ella Mae Franks, 72, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at her residence.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Barney Rice and Rosa Kelly Rice. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Rice, Marvin Rice, Ford Rice, and her sister, Geneva Rice.
Surviving are her husband, Earl Franks; sons, Audie Franks and wife Karen of Cashiers, and Faron Franks of Charlotte; grandson, B.J. Franks and wife Stephanie of Powdersville, SC; great granddaughter, Caitlin Franks of Spartanburg, SC; step-grandsons, Shawn Winchester and wife Amy of Iron Station, NC, Jason Winchester and wife Jeannie of Bryson City; brothers, Doyle Rice of Cashiers, Oliver Rice of Clayton, GA and Freeman Rice of Franklin; sister, Dorothy Riddle of Cashiers.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Whitewater Baptist Church with the Revs. Johnny Norris, Berlis Powell, and Bradley Chappell officiating. Burial will be in Montvale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home.
