Ellis Devoia "Red" Galloway, 71, of Balsam Grove, found peace and comfort on September 17, 2018 after a lengthy illness. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Ellis P. and Cornelia Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Tony L. Galloway.
He graduated from Rosman High School before serving in the United States Air Force.
Red's survivors include his children: Chrystal Hradelovitz and husband Ernst of Greer, SC, Devoia Lee Galloway of Round Hill, VA and daughter Tracy Morris and husband Steven of Balsam Grove, NC; grandchildren Chase, Ethan, Spencer, Ryan and Isaac; his sister, Patsy Mullinax and her husband Art of Lyman, SC and daughter-in-law Betsy Galloway of Brevard, NC.
A Celebration of Life for Ellis Devoia Galloway will be held from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Balsam Grove Community Center at 8732 Parkway Road, Balsam Grove, NC. Military Rites will be conducted by the United States Air Force and the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
The family would like to thank the many friends of "Red" for the love, care and support that they gave to him throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Red's name to the Transylvania County Honor Guard, 22 Teal Court, Brevard, NC 28712.
