Elura Walker

Elura C. Walker, 50, of Brevard, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Woody and the late Virginia Griffin Smith.
Elura had worked as a CNA for several years. She was free-spirited, but always thought of others first. She particularly loved the outdoors and loved to travel, but mostly loved spending time with her goddaughter: Skilynn,
Her loving survivors include her husband Dennis Walker; her goddaughter Skilynn Zuniga of Brevard; her best friends Tawyana Thompson of Brevard, Shelly Sluder of Brevard, Brenda Denning of Asheville, Charona Whitesides of Brevard, Jessica Anderson, of Brevard, Lakisha Eubanks of Brevard, and her niece, Lisa Stepp, of Asheville and her sons Ezekiel Vasquez and Kenny Walker.
Funeral Services for Elura Walker will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home in Brevard. Interment will follow at Turkey Creek Cemetery in Pisgah Forest.
