Ethel Poole

Ethel Janet Galloway Poole, 81, of Pisgah Forest, NC passed away August 30, 2013.

Born January 4, 1932, in Pisgah Forest, NC she was a daughter of the late Carl L. Galloway and Ida Owen Galloway.

She was preceded in death by her brothers; Ivan Galloway, Alfred "Bill" Galloway and Clyde C. Galloway, sisters; Delphine Donnelly, Christine Wilson and Phylliss Constantine, and a very special niece, Jennie Marie Wilson.

Ethel was a long-time employee of the Ecusta Corporation and served as a door greeter at Wal-Mart at the time of her death. She also provided Sunday child care in the nursery at the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter; Barbara Lynne Poole Brown and her husband, Ronnie Brown of Brevard; granddaughters; Sarah Elizabeth Brown Renard and her husband, Mark Renard of Chicago, IL, and Emily Barrett Brown of Brevard; sisters; Brona Dunn of Tavernier, FL, Sue Maness of Etowah; Sylvia McCrary and her husband, John Allen McCrary of Pisgah Forest; Shirley Tinsley and her husband, Calvin Tinsley, Patricia Hampton, and Brenda Spillman all of Pisgah Forest, sister-in-law; Belle Galloway of Etowah; brother-in-law; Gus Constantine of Brevard; 29 nieces and nephews, and several grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Duncan and Rev. Tommy Owen officiating. The family will receive friends from
6:00 PM - 8:00PM Friday, September 6, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be sent to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC, 28731.
