Fannie Killian Akin

Brevard - Fannie Killian Akin, 87, died Tuesday, October 8, 2008 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Frances Allison Killian and was the wife of the late William Shepard Akin. She is also preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Akin; three brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Akin was a member of Glady Branch Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sons, James W. Akin of Marion, NC; Jeffrey W. Akin and wife Susan, and John M. Akin and wife Susan all of Brevard; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, October 10, 2008 in the Moore Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Allen Thompson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glady Branch Baptist Church, 1156 Rosman Hwy.,

Brevard, NC 28712.
